Analysis of students sequence called 'the reckoning'

This sequence used alot of good techniques to make it seem professional and it fitted in with the thriller theme.
one of its strongest points was the music, as the fast pace helped to create tension and add to the action.it slowly speeds up and is differnent to other thrillers as it doesnt try and make the clip to sinister it compliments the action and looks similar to something u may find in a spy thriller a bit like james bond.
The different camera angles where some came from underneath or very close up added interest and let the audiance see things in detail from differnt angles. The way that you cant fully see everthing as it is in black and white adds intrege.
The shaky camera work made it seem frantic amd obvious tht there is some sort of chase and the whole sequence helps to set the scene and gives some indication of what this film is going to be like. you are also introduced to the characters and can see what role they may play in the film. eg boy in suit seems to be an important character but u are not sure if he is the villian or hero just yet.
night vision effect makes it seem spooky and gives the feeling that they are being watched perhaps on cctv.
